This was my first sampler quilt top, in shades of burgundy and sea green against a solid off-white background. It hooked me on sampler quilts. I used 1 1/3 yards of burgundy print fabric, 1 1/3 yards of pink floral print fabric, 2 yards of sea green fabric, and 3 yards of off-white fabric. The quilt ended up being about 5 feet by 6 feet. To make the quilt about the right size for a comforter for a double bed, you would need to purchase extra fabric to make an additional 8-inch border all around, outside of the sea green border.
