This, my sixth sampler quilt, has bright colors against a black background and is shown here with my three sons, Nathan, Peter, and Robert. Vertical rows of blocks are offset from each other. Twelve-inch blocks are separated by 6-inch sashing (finished size). Border is of about the same width as the sashing. Fabric requirements are 5 yards of 44" - 45" black fabric and 1/2 yard of each of six colors. For these six colors, I used the primary colors (red, yellow, blue) and the secondary colors (orange, purple, green). The finished size of the quilt is about 73" x 83".
