sampler quilts |
I created this web site to share images of sampler quilts and block patterns as well as instructions for creating them. A mother of seven children by profession and a maker of quilts by hobby, I started making sampler quilts and can't seem to stop. I'm formulating plans for the next quilt before the current one is finished! I love the colors, the patterns, and the symmetries of quilt making. It is a journey of beauty and imagination. In a sampler quilt, each block is unique from every other. This site features 72 different four-patch block patterns that can be used to create sampler quilts. Most of these blocks can be constructed using just two piece shapes, a small square and a small triangle. For dimensions for these and the other pieces used in the quilts, please see the instructions. Please take a look around, and enjoy your visit! If you have questions, comments, ideas, or images of sampler quilts or block patterns that you would like to share, you may e-mail me. Good luck! |
